About this place
Hachiroku in Itabashi is a casual izakaya serving creative Western-style food, from easy-to-share small plates and satisfying meat dishes to pasta. There are tables as well as counter seats, making it comfortable for anything from a solo drink to dinner with a group.
The meat dishes to start with include coarse-ground Shonai pork meatballs in a rich sauce and the crisp-fried signature lamb cutlet. One way to enjoy the meatballs is to mop up the remaining sauce with baguette. Other tempting starters include Hachiroku liver pâté, sea bream carpaccio and salad spring rolls, all well suited to wine or beer.
For a final course, choose from a range of pastas, including pasta with red prawns, spring onion and karasumi, or try the thin-crust pizza topped with spring onion and whitebait, which is easy to snack on. Pasta can be ordered in half or large portions, so you can tailor the serving to your appetite.
Open until 3:00 on every day except Sunday, Hachiroku is an option for a late dinner or as the first stop of the night. Smoking is permitted indoors.
